The End |
By, Blaze Prologue “Hi mom,” said 17 year old Mirinda, “how are you feeling today,” she leaned over her sick grandmother’s bedside. Her grandma had been sick for a while now and the doctors said there was nothing more that they could do to help her. Mirinda Musashi had been staying at her sick grandmother’s home for the past couple weeks, having to leave her part time job. “Fine child,” Jessie Musashi, Mirinda’s grandmother tried to reassure her grandchild. “Bring me one of my old photo albums from the bottom shelf in the living room. The old ones were from when I was a teenager and early twenties, before she left Team Rocket. She thinks back now that maybe she didn’t make the right decision, leaving James and marring Jordan. Jordan was her rich husband, who later left her when she was about 35 for a young 21 year old blonde girl, she wished she hadn’t left James for money, she hadn’t seen or talked to him since she left the team for Jordan, he was about 10 years older than her when she married him and she really only married him for money and not for love. “Dearest James, I only I wish I could go back and do it all again, I would of never leave you, I didn’t believe in love when I was young and,” Mirinda returned to the room, and sat down in the easy chair next to the bed. “Child, promise me, that you don’t make my mistake and leave someone you love for money or anything, it’s not worth it, trust me. Love is real, and often once in a lifetime, find your sole mate and never let him go.” “Okay,” said Mirinda a little weirded out by her grandmother’s sudden dramatic attitude, she’s known her grandmother to do this though now. She often talks of a boy she knew when she was young. Her grandmother had once again passed out; exhaustion comes so easy to the sick and dying. She cried for her grandmother, she opened up the old scrapbook, her grandmother was so beautiful when she was young, the pretty red hair, so much like her own, but much better manicured, her hair was only shoulder height and often pulled back in a ponytail in the back of her head. Her eyes though were that of her bastard father who left them when she was only six or seven, brown and stagnant, looking cold, it often gave people wrong impressions about her, she more often than not hid them behind her sunglasses though. She was tall and thin, she had her grandmother’s build, and earrings like hers but black. Her grandmother had told her it was a family tradition to where earrings like those, she had a picture of her great-grandmother who had the same type of earrings too.
Thinking her grandmother had gone back to sleep for a while, Mirinda decided to go out and take a walk, they lived in the mountains and there weren’t ever any people around so Mirinda was used to taking long walks alone. Outside it was a little chilly so she grabbed her white sweatshirt and headed out, today though was not going to be a normal day. After she walked down the trail a while a young man about 18 or so was running around a corner of bushes and ran right into her, he had a weird laugh, “Ehehehehe,” he knocked her and himself down. He had blue, almost shoulder length hair and green eyes, he jumped up and yelled “Watch where you are going you stupid twerp,” to Mirinda, now having also inherited her grandmother’s bad temper, she got up and smacked him across the face, she then noticed that he had a brown cloth bag with something moving inside of it. Mirinda decided to not let him get away, she was pissed about his shouting at her and calling her a twerp, plus he had gotten her nice sweater all dirty. She got a pokeball out, off of her belt and threw it, “Get this idiot, Nidorina” her Nidorina leapt from the ball and grunted at the boy. “He said if it’s a fight you want then it’s a fight you get, “Go Arbok” Arbok came out and slithered towards Nidorina, Nidorina prepared to battle. They fought for a few minutes, then the bag started to rip open and a Riachu came out and shocked them all, then it ran away. “No! Come back you stupid freak pokemon!” The guy did not seem to happy and looked as if he were ready to vent his anger onto Mirinda but she was ready to take the chump. “Listen bitch, you know how hard I worked to steal that Pokemon? You owe me, I’m going to take yours now, Team Rocket will never fail!” The guy grabbed the bag and threw another pokeball, it was a Primape, Primape took the bag and headed for Nidorina, who was passed out from the thundershock of the Riachu. “No,” Mirinda screamed and threw herself in front of Nidorina, “you can’t take her she’s my only Pokemon, and my friend.” “You made me lose the Riachu, you owe me.” “I’ll tell you what, I’ll help you steal another Riachu and you leave my Nidorina alone,” said Mirinda negotionably. She stood up and nodded her head. She didn’t know what she was getting herself into, but her grandmother had been in Team Rocket when she was young and that was where she lost her love, and this guy looked a lot like him, “What’s your name?” “My name? It’s Julian, and yours?” “Mirinda,” she said hopefully, “what do we do?” “What do you mean?” “We need another Riachu right?” “Not necessarily a Riachu, but some kind of rare pokemon, I need to take one back to my boss or he’ll get pissed and I can’t get booted off of Team Rocket. I’ve been in it my whole life, but I haven’t turned in a pokemon in a really long time, and the last couple I turned in was really weak and useless and he wasn’t too happy about that.” “How do we start, what do we do?” Her grandmother had never really told her too much about stealing pokemon, just that her and James had tried for many years to get a pikachu from a stupid kid. “Well we spy on people from somewhere and decide who has a pokemon worth stealing and we go take it.” “Shouldn’t we go to a Pokemon Center first?” “Team Rocket doesn’t do Pokemon Centers!” exclaimed Julian arrogantly. She thought that dealing with him would be hard enough little with stealing Pokemon too. She wasn’t going to take any crap from him, if she had to keep him in line she would just have to do that. “Well then what about our Pokemon? How many do you have?” Julian held out the two pokeballs of Primape and Arbok, “that’s great, HOW ARE WE EXPOSED TO STEAL POKEMON IF OURS ARE PASSED OUT!” “um…” he stood there dumbfounded “Come on,” Mirinda grabbed his sleeve and drug him down towards the town to the Pokemon Center.
“Grandmother, are you there? I know your there, pick up the phone.” Click the answering machine clicked off and the phone picked up. “Mirinda, where are you sweetie?” asked her grandmother. “I’m in town, I have to go away for a few days, can you manage for the next couple days by yourself, I’m going to send Auntie Midge over to make you food and stuff, okay?” Auntie Midge wasn’t really her aunt, just some nice old lady that lived in the town and they had become very good friends with since her grandmother started getting sick a few years ago. “Okay then dear, be careful, where are you going?” “I’m going to help somebody with something they need to do, I owe them,” she didn’t want to tell her grandmother about the guy or Team Rocket, her grandmother was pretty against Team Rocket because of reasons that she never did discuss with her. “Bye-bye, granny, I got to go,” Mirinda whispered into the phone after spotting a little irritated Julian. “Bye child.” Click. The phone disconnected. “I need to go see someone before we do anything.” They went over to Auntie’s and she told her what was going on. Auntie agreed to check up on her grandmother and they were off too stealing a Pokemon.
Julian was looking through binoculars at various people on the street that came and went, but nothing really big happened. “Is it exposed to take this long?” Mirinda said. “It can” Julian replied, “besides, I think I see something,” Mirinda grabbed the binoculars from Julian and looked down, sure enough; there was a trainer with three pokemon, a wartortle, a vulpix, and a simple pidgey. “Give me those back!” Julian whispered very loudly, and tried to take the binoculars back from Mirinda, but she swatted him with a paper fan that her grandmother had given her. “Well?” “Well what?” “Well what do we do now?” “Now we form a plan.” They both sat there looking at each other, “Well don’t look at me! You’re the one that’s exposed to of been in Team Rocket all his life!” Mirinda said loudly. “Be quiet before they here,” Julian whispered, “Look this is what we are going to do…” ***** “Prepare for trouble!” “And make it double” “To, um, what was the line?” “You stupid! Oh never mind all that, Julian!” “Mirinda?” she said questionably. “Team Rocket will now take possession of your Pokemon!” screamed Julian, “Go Primape,” Primape came out not looking to happy “Rage!” Primape attacked the Wartortle which retracted into its shell. Julian looked at Mirinda, “You can join in anytime now!” “Huh, oh, yea, um…” Mirinda threw the Pokeball with Nidorina, “Nidorina.” Nidorina came out and grunted at Primape, and charged. “What the f… Stop her!” screamed Julian “Oops, Nidorina NO! Get Wartortle!” Nidorina stopped dead in its tracks and charged Wartortle. Julian threw another ball, “Arbok, Wrap!” Arbok wrapped around Wartortle while Primape threw a bag over it, then Julian threw a smoke capsule, and darted away only to find that Mirinda wasn’t following, but coughing in the same spot. “Primape take Wartortle and go into the forest, I’ll catch up, and don’t let it get away.” Julian ran back for Mirinda, thinking ‘Why am I doing this, I don’t need her anymore,’ Julian grabbed her arm and pulled a coughing Mirinda along with him. Chapter 4 “Are you okay there?” Julian said looking into Mirinda’s dark eyes. She just noticed how cute his eyes were. He had this most charming look about him, the soft green eyes, the stunning blue hair, she would of thrown her morals out the window right then to have five minutes with his hot naked body. “What are you looking at?” spouted Julian rudely, shattering Mirinda’s daydream. “Huh? Nothing,” said Mirinda a little embarrassed, “um, did we get Wartortle?” “Yea,” said Julian softly, “he’s in the bag.” Julian pointed to a brown cloth bag like the one that he had Riachu in. “Well, I guess you won’t be needing me anymore…” Mirinda’s voice drifted off, she wished that there was something more to do, she wanted to stay with him. “If you want, you can come back to Team Rocket Headquarters with me…” Julian then thought for a moment, ‘no, she can’t come; she’ll ruin my rep, and the boss’ll want her in and me out, he’ll think I could never cut it as a Rocket.’ “Then on second thought, it probably would be better if you didn’t, you understand don’t you?” “Yea, I guess so,” Mirinda said, disappointed, “I guess I’ll be heading home then,” Mirinda got up and turned towards the road, “Bye then.” Mirinda stifled back a tear, and tore off towards home. Chapter 5 Auntie Midge greeted Mirinda at the door when she arrived home and told Mirinda the horrible news. “Jessica had to be taken to Uni State Hospital in Viridian City she has been having heart and breathing problems,” Auntie Midge looked as if she were going to cry, “the subway leaves Goldenrod in about three hours we can make it if we leave soon, so go grab some stuff, we could be down there a while. Mirinda ran upstairs and grabbed stuff and stuck it into an old book bag, sat down on the bed and started to cry, Auntie Midge came into the room a minute later and hugged her, “I shouldn’t of left her alone,” sobbed Mirinda. “It’s not your fault it would of happened anyway, there was nothing you would have been able to do to stop it,” Auntie Midge consoled her. “Come along now, we need to get going or we’ll miss the train.” ***** In Saffron City, they got off of the train and got a cab to Viridian City. In Viridian they went to the hospital. “Grandmother!” Mirinda exclaimed, dropping her bag on the floor and running to Jessie’s bedside. “Darling Mirinda,” said Jessie weakly, “how are you doing?” “I’m worried Grandma, I shouldn’t of left you alone,” Mirinda started to cry, “I shouldn’t of…” her voice trailed off. “Hush, dear, it’s not your fault, we all knew that my time was up, I’m just glad to see you now.” Mirinda felt as if she was going to be sick, “I… I need to go get some air; I’ll be back in a few.” Mirinda turned and walked out. Outside, Mirinda ran into a friendly face, “Mirinda? Is that you?” Julian was behind her, she spun around. He saw her tears, “What’s wrong?” She loved his beautiful concerned eyes. “My Grandmother is dying; she was brought to the hospital up here while I was gone.” Julian walked up to her and gave her a hug, “What happened?” She started to cry again and told him what Auntie Midge had told her. “I’m so sorry, if I had known, I wouldn’t have had you come with me.” “She doesn’t know that I was with somebody from Team Rocket. She holds a grudge against Team Rocket, she used to be in it, but she left for money and now she regrets it because she was in love with her partner.” “Who was her partner?” “James, I have a picture of him and her from when they were together in Team Rocket…” Mirinda rummaged through her pockets and pulled out an old yellowed, wrinkled up picture, she showed it to Julian, he looked totally shocked. “My father often told me how he had a girlfriend when he started in Team Rocket, and he misses her so,” Julian reached into his pocket and pulled out a wallet and opened it; he showed her the same picture that she had. “Holy…” Mirinda was shocked, “that’s your dad?” Julian nodded, ‘that’s my grandmother. Where is he, is he still alive?” “He’s still in Team Rocket, and very much alive, but often depressed, he thinks back about Jessie so much, he told me many times about how beautiful she was and all the stuff they did together,” he looked into her eyes, “how he still loved her.” He grabbed her arm, “come on, there’s not much time!” Julian led Mirinda into a dark alley way, and opened what looked like an old breaker box, and punched in some codes into a keypad, and there was a click and he opened a door. “This way now, here take my shirt so people don’t ask too many questions, everybody knows me, but they don’t take kindly to outsiders being here. He stripped off his shirt and had a tight white shirt underneath, letting his nice body be seen. Mirinda put the Rocket shirt over her own shirt and tied her sweater around her waist. Julian led her through a mass of corridors and they finally ended up in a very official looking office, he looked at a computer screen on the wall, and said, “He’s here, expected though, he hasn’t really left in several years, the only reason he hasn’t been booted is because he has seniority. He led her through one more hallway, and used his key to open the door, it looked like a very nice, yet small, two bedroom apartment. They had it set up so it looked all cozy and homely, “My father likes to decorate and collect stupid stuff,” he pointed to a huge bottle, full of bottle caps. “Wow” Julian knocked on a door to a bedroom and his father opened up, “Dad, you need to come with me, there is someone you need to see very much,” he looked a lot like he did in his pictures, scrawny, but grayed hair, longer than before though, green eyes, he was a bit wrinkled. “Who?” He said in a slightly raspy voice, but seemed to still have a quality of lost youth. “You’ll see when we get there, but we need to leave now,” James looked into his son’s eyes and decided not to question. “Well okay then, let me get my boots and jacket,” he went into the room and a few minutes later returned, styling a very old shabby Team Rocket uniform. ‘That must be the same one he had since he was young,’ Mirinda thought. Chapter 5 “Grandmother, there is someone here to see you,” Mirinda whispered into her grandmother’s ear and she awoke. James walked into the room and looked down onto the bed and into the soft eyes of his long lost love, “Jessie?” “Who are you…, her voice trailed off, “James?” “Yea, it’s me.” Her eyes filled with tears, “oh I’ve missed you so much, I wish I told you sooner, I love you.” “I love you too; I should never have let you leave.” “I shouldn’t of left.” James held Jessie softly yet firmly in his arms. They hugged for several minutes and Julian and Mirinda left the room. ***** “Dearest Jessie, my love, I will never let you go again.” “I love you so much,” Mirinda cried. Together the lie on the hospital bed, talking of old times and how they wished they had had a life together, for hours this happened. The next morning the nurse entered the room and found them both passed away in each other’s arms like a fairy tail. Epilogue “Friends, Family of the beloved, we are joined here today, to forever join these too, Jessie Miyamoto, and James Kojiro, back to the sacred land in which they were born, together they will be for eternity now, never again to be split up. They have entered into eternal happiness and peace. For now they shall rest together forever.” ***Later after the funeral*** “Julian, I want to join Team Rocket and stay with you.” “I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Julian replied, gently kissing Mirinda.
